Junior Account Manager
Our client is a distributor of industrial, consumable products with a wide array of customers. They are a family run business with a fantastic culture & brilliant career progression. Due to their continued growth, they are looking for an Junior Account Manager to join their sales team. You will join the team as a Junior Account Manager & progress to an Account Manager and beyond!.
The role is to oversee any inbound customer enquiries providing excellent customer services, as well as processing orders & providing the customers up to date information about their orders. You will be part of the sales team so being a great team player is essential.
The role is office based and as the business has grown as a result of its honest dealings with customers and family values, large emphasis is given to telephone communication over email.
Responsibilities
- Communicating directly with customers. Providing the highest standard of customer service.
- Processing sales orders and confirming with customers. Speaking with them where necessary to make amendments and working with the Account Manager as appropriate.
- Providing updates to customers for sales orders which have a lead time (made to order items, or stock outage back-orders) and responding to customers' requests for an update on delivery time/date.
- Work with the Sales Team to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department. Highlighting areas which could be improved.
- Identify opportunities to upsell to customers.
- Managing and maintaining good stock levels, escalating extraordinary usages or stock outages to line management.
- Processing any goods return requests.
- Processing any credit note requests.
- Processing any missing stock requests.
- Organising sample requests.
- Managing the sales email inbox, forwarding new enquiries to the Sales Manager.
