Our client is a fantastic nursery offering first class childcare to their families. They are a really supportive business and their employees wellbeing and progression is at the heart at what they do. They really do support employees and look after them.
They are looking for a childcare practitioner to join their growing team due to expansion. They are family owned and the nursery is set up in a way that really supports the children and makes it a great environment for their staff as well.
The role:
They are looking for someone who can:
- Communicating with parents effectively to build a long lasting relationship, to work holistically to meet the developmental and personal needs of children in their care
- Follow all policies and procedures to ensure children are safeguarded all day, every day.
- Provide challenging and fun activities, using their knowledge and skills to take children's learning forward through play
- Complete risk assessments the suite and resources
- Work with the team to ensure smooth running if the suite and nursery
- Communicate professionally with external agencies where necessary to ensure children have the best outcomes possible
- Complete observations and assessments on children
- Update the app to document Children's daily care needs including meals, naps, bottles, nappy changes etc.
About you:
- Cache Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Children’s Care Learning and Development
- Sound understanding of the EYFS and an ability to fully implement all of its requirements
- An ability to plan and implement a curriculum, taking into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and inclusion
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents and encourage their involvement in their child’s learning Child Care Practitioner
- Commitment to and understanding of diversity and inclusion
- Ability to manage self and work calmly under pressure
- Ability to manage risk and safeguard children’s safety
- Experience of working with Children and families within a similar setting
