Our client is a manufacturing & distribution business who due to their continued growth are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The business has a great culture and offers fantastic career development and progression.

This role reports directly into the Sales Manager and is based on site, unless you are out on customer visits.

You will be proactively creating long term, trusting relationships with new or lapsed customers. You will be working through a list of prospects and lapsed customers within their established markets to grow and develop the business.

In addition to responding to inbound enquiries you will be seeking out new prospects to work with and nurture.

Your customer base will be varied & experience in dealing with the public sector would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing prospects & lapsed customers
  • Responding to sales enquiries
  • Maximising retention of business
  • Working collaboratively with the sales team
  • Attending networking events and exhibitions
  • Ensure CRM is up to date
